Program | Fernando Manassero: «The longest song – Technostalgia series 4» (2024) for analogue vintage synthesizers, sensor drums, turntables, samplers and tape recorders Hyper Duo: Gilles Grimaître – Synthesizer, Elektronik / Julien Mégroz – Drumset, Elektronik Technostalgia is what composer Fernando Manassero calls the need to bring back a sense of imagination and freedom to technology. «The longest song» – the new piece in his «Technostalgia» series – is a journey back in time through retro-futurism combining vintage synthesisers, tape recorders, and vaporwave. It's an archaeological search for the lost sounds of a golden tech era, allowing audiences to relive the feelings associated with the genres of their time, even if they never experienced them first-hand… ABOUT «THE LONGEST SONG» «Imagine that all the music you listened to over your life is saved somewhere deep inside your mind… Not quite like an algorhythm logs everything you do without selecting, without your emotions, without caring too much. The ways you save it are not that easy to pin down. Imagine you kept just snipets of songs or pieces, cherry picked fragments that meant something to you. Something you listened during good or hard times. Nothing is complete there, maybe just fragments of melodies, some words, random sounds, probably moods, and even abstract perfumes… All that music sitting in a room, like an exhibition arranged in ways that only you know» – Fernando Manssero – – – TICKETS single ticket 20–40 / 15 CHF
