For audiences worldwide, SONIC MATTER_radio will broadcast the complete Listening Lounge playlist in a loop from 1 to 3 December 2023 at www.sonicmatter.ch/radio.

Whether you just want to listen in for a moment or lose yourself for half a day, our festival lounges invite you to escape the sombre season and to listen to the latest music and sound art on a pile of pillows. Like every year the Listening Lounge offers a comprehensive playlist of the most recent electroacoustic music — this time from more than 20 different countries.

In the videolounge works by artists from Switzerland and Lebanon provide perspectives on the ocean and its importance for our lives, while sound artist Jad Atoui’s installation demonstrates in impressive fashion how an entire sound sculpture can be created by a few drops of water and a little help from the visitors.
